Sharon Stowers

Dr. Stowers is an anthropologist and Registered Dietitian. She believes that America’s community college system is one of its best democratic ideas and loves teaching at HCC. Dr. Stowers oversaw the restoration of the on-campus historic Hays-Heighe House museum and she also served as HCC’s Scholar-in-Residence. She believes in experiential learning and includes field trips, archaeology digs, and video production in her classes. Prior to her academic career, she owned Nutrition Education Services International in Washington, DC.
