On trivia night, everyone wants you on their team because you know all the answers.

Your interest in history enables you to dispel myths that have carried on for centuries — like, how George Washington's teeth were not, in fact, made of wood. You knew that already. History is relevant to today and helps us connect and understand how to shape our future, and you're the person to help us make all the connections.

At Harford Community College, we offer two degree concentrations:
History Concentration provides students with an understanding of political, social, economic, intellectual, scientific and artistic heritage and prepares for transfer to a four-year institution to complete a bachelor's degree

Public History Concentration allows History majors to engage in the broader interpretation of history for public audiences. The concentration can be used for transfer purposes or to support credentials for students seeking immediate employment or volunteer engagement in Public History.

Harford's small, student-centered, and flexible learning class options are the ideal learning environment for your history studies.
