Maintaining the health, safety, and well-being of the campus community is Harford Community College’s primary concern. Below is a list of campus and community resources. 

Resources 

Harford Community College Department of Public Safety: 443.412.2272 
The Department of Public Safety office is open 24 hours a day to assist victims of sexual harassment and discrimination. If an individual is not certain whether criminal conduct is involved, a Public Safety Officer can assist in determining whether a crime has occurred. With the victim’s consent, the Public Safety Officer may notify the Harford County Sheriff’s Office to conduct an official criminal investigation of any allegations of sexual harassment and discrimination. With the victim’s consent, the Public Safety Officer will arrange for transportation to University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Medical Center where a SAFE exam can be performed by a trained FNE.

Any individual who experiences sexual harassment and discrimination is strongly encouraged to contact local law enforcement.

Harford Community College Emergency Phones: 
Emergency phone lines are installed in all classrooms. The phones will dial directly to Public Safety by pressing the corresponding speed dial, but 9-1-1 has to be manually dialed. 

Title IX Coordinator and Deputy Coordinators 

Any person may report sex discrimination at any time (whether or not the person reporting is the person alleged to have experienced the conduct), in person, by mail, by telephone, or by email by contacting the Title IX Coordinator. Per the federal regulations, all members of the Title IX team are required to post the training they have received. Harford's Department of Public Safety operates an escort service at all times for use by those concerned about their safety while on campus. Call Public Safety at 443.412.2272 or ext. 2272 from a Harford Community College phone to request a walking escort to your vehicle. Wait in a well lit or populated location for the arrival of the uniformed Public Safety Officer. Also visit the Department of Public Safety website for Crime Prevention tips.
