Technology on Campus

The world, as well as the Harford campus, relies heavily on technology to function. For that reason, we have several resources available to help our students.

Harford Username and Password

NONCREDIT STUDENTS

As part of the registration process, you will receive an email with instructions to set your permanent username and password. This is an important step as your username and password allow you to access many resources on campus.

CREDIT STUDENTS

Once accepted at Harford, you will receive an acceptence letter containing a temporary username and password with instructions to set your permanent username and password.  This is an important step in the enrollment process since as a Harford Community College student, your username and password allow you access to:
OwlNet: Campus portal used by all credit students. Here you will:

Check and and print your class scedule
Confirm or change your personal information
View campus news and events
Register for classes
View your grades and transcripts

OwlMail: College email address used for all College communication. It starts with your username, and ends with @owlmail.harford.edu
Blackboard: a course management system where instructors will post assignments, syllabus, and other material pertinent to  their classes 
Microsoft 365: online access to Cloud Storage, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Stream

ITS Help Desk 

If you need help logging in to Office 365, OwlNet, Blackboard, or a campus computer, or if you're having problems accessing or setting your password, you can get help through the ITS Help Desk by calling 443.412.2477, option 3 during their regularly scheduled hours or by using one of our self-service access links.

After hours, Weekends and Holidays: Leave a message and calls will be returned the next business day.

Create a strong password | Logout when you are finished | Don’t save your password in internet browsers | Don’t share your credentials with other individuals | Don't use your College password for any non-College accounts.

eLearning

eLearning is available to help with Blackboard needs other than logging in. They can help navigate your online courses and access the materials your instructor has posted.
