Campus Safety
Public Safety officers are committed to maintaining a safe environment for students, employees, and visitors to our campus, 24-hours per day, 365 days per year.
They regularly patrol and inspect all buildings on campus to ensure a safe and comfortable academic environment and provide physical security, investigative services, public safety education, first aid, and other assistance as needed.
To maintain the safety of our campus, we ask everyone to do their part by being alert and getting involved. Students are required to abide by the Code for Student Rights, Responsibilities, and Conduct, as well as all College policies, regulations, and procedures.

Emergency Notifications and Closures
Harford Community College uses the ALERT ME emergency notification system to provide urgent information to students and employees in the event of a non-scheduled College closing or emergency.
If an off-campus location (APG, Public Schools, etc.) closes, Harford Community College classes at that particular location will close, even if the main campus is still open. If the main campus closes, all classes and activities at off-campus sites will also close.

Annual Security Report
The Annual Security Report is required by federal law and contains policy statements and crime statistics for the school. The statements address the school's policies, procedures and programs concerning safety and security, including Public Safety's responses to emergency situations and sexual offenses that were reported to have occurred on campus, in or on off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the school, and on public property within or immediately adjacent to the campus.
